CLARION DROPS SIXTH STRAIGHT 77-68 AT MILLERSVILLE

            MILLERSVILLE – Despite 17 points apiece from Leon Kennedy and Lonnell Jones, Clarion dropped its sixth straight decision 77-68 Saturday at Millersville.

            Millersville (14-1), which won its 14th straight game, used a 7-0 run late in the first half to build a 40-30 halftime lead.

            Clarion (5-8) cut the lead to six points – 54-48 – with 12:43 to play, but the Marauders answered with a 9-2 run to go ahead 63-50 with 9:15 to play. Clarion never got closer than seven the rest of the way.

            Jones added nine rebounds for Clarion, while Kennedy had seven. Josh Yanke chipped in with 12 points.

            Reggie Bates led Millersville with 22 points, Charlie Parker had 18 and Greg Testa 12.

            Clarion returns to action at 3 p.m. Sunday at West Chester before returning home at 8 p.m. Wednesday vs. IUP.
