Text Box: EAGLES LOOK TO AVOID FIRST 5-GAME SLIDE SINCE 1999-2000 SEASON
Clarion is trying to avoid its first 5-game losing streak since midway through the 1999-2000 season. That year, Clarion dropped 9 straight games between Jan. 8, 2000, and Feb. 5, 2000. 
Cold shooting, lack of rebounding catalyst for losing streak
Shooting and rebounding have been the biggest factors on the current 4-game slide that started with a 77-6 loss at Lock Haven Jan. 18. During the stretch, the Eagles are shooting just 34.9% (73 of 209) from the field including 10.9% (5 of 46) from 3-point range. Clarion is also being outrebounded44.8 rpg to 33.5 rpg while allowing an average of 17 offensive rebounds per contest. Prior to the losing streak, Clarion was shooting at a 44.9%clip from the field and 29.1% from 3-point range while outrebounding opponents 38.0 rpg to 37.2 rpg while allowing 14 offensive boards per contest.   
GRIMM CLOSING IN ON TOP 5 IN SCHOOL HISTORY IN CAREER ASSISTS
So. point guard Ashley Grimm is inching closer to the Top 5 in school history in career assists. She has 235, which puts her 30 shy of No. 5 Carlita Jones (265). She teams with Sr. Melba Melton (211) to give Clarion a 200-plus career assist duo for the second straight year and third time in school history. Heather Cigich 244 & Amelia Harris (214) did it last year.

Grimm needs 2 assists to move into Top 10 in single season at Clarion
Grimm also need just two assists to move into the Top 10 in a season at Clarion. She has 110 this year. Jen Duhnke (112-2003) currently sits 10th. She is also 7 shy of Miesha Henry (117-1999), who sits in 7th place. Last season, Grimm had 125 assists, which is 5th best in a season at Clarion.
