Text Box: CLARION LOOKING FOR FIRST WIN AT CAL IN 8 YEARS
Clarion is looking to win its first game at California in 8 years. The Golden Eagles last win at Hammer Hall was Feb. 4, 1998, 60-58. Since then Clarion hast eight straight at Cal including 67-56 last year. Overall, Cal has won 18 of the past 20 meetings dating back to the 1996 season although the Golden Eagles broke a 13-game losing streak with a 71-59 win at Clarion Jan. 29, 2005.  
GOLDEN EAGLES TRYING TO AVOID FIRST 3-GAME LOSING STREAK SINCE 2004 SEASON
The Golden Eagles are trying to avoid their first 3-game losing streak since the season. Clarion has lost two in a row twice this year but rebounded each time with a win. Clarion beat Bloomsburg 82-72 Dec. 3 after losing two in a row in late November. The Eagles then beat Cheyney 73-48 Dec. 21 after losing 2 straight in mid-December. Clarion last lost 3 straight Jan. 31-Feb. 11, 2004, with the 3rd loss coming 95-39 at California. 
GRIMM-MELTON THIRD DUO IN SCHOOL HISTORY OVER 200 CAREER ASSISTS
Wed., Sr. Melba Melton recorded her 200th career assist becoming the 18th player in school history to achieve that mark. At the same time, her and So. teammate Ashley Grimm (230 assists) became just the 3rd duo in school history to have 200 assists at the same time. The other 2 times that has happened were 2005 - Heather Cigich (244) , Amelia Harris (214) & in 1994 w/Amy Migyanka (222 at the time, 407 career) & Shannon Coakley (286).

CLARION SUFFERING FROM OFFENSIVE HICCUPS LAST TWO WEEKS
Clarion’s offense has gone through some hiccups the past two weeks. After averaging 73.0 ppg and shooting 45.2% in their first 14 games, the Eagles are averaging 56.2 ppg while shooting 39.8% in the last four.
