Text Box: ABOUT SHIPPENSBURG
RAIDERS NOT DEEP BUT TALENTED
Shippensburg is not a very deep squad - in fact only seven players are on the active roster and only six of them average at least five minutes (actually those six average no fewer than 26 minutes per game). The Lady Raiders are talented with six of those players are averaging 7.3 ppg or more.
SHIP HAS 2 OF TOP 3 SCORERS IN PSAC
The Lady Raiders have two of the top three scorers in the PSAC. Shanna Oaddams is the leading scorer in the PSAC at 19.2 ppg, while Megan Fogle is the 3rd leading scorer in the conference at 16.7 ppg. Oaddams is also the second leading rebounder in the PSAC with 10.2 boards per game.
RECENT WEST OPENERS HAVE BEEN A STRUGGLE
Recent PSAC-West opener have been a struggle for Shippensburg. The Raiders are 2-4 in their past six PSAC-West openers including 1-2 vs. Clarion and 0-3 on the road.

Text Box: RIVALRY HAS INCLUDED TWO STRAIGHT PSAC PLAYOFF GAMES
This is the PSAC-West opener for both teams and the first of two scheduled meetings in 2005-06. But if recent history is an indicator, they could easily meet three times as they have down in each of the past two seasons. Clarion knocked off Ship 69-49 in the PSAC Playoffs last year paying the Lady Raiders back for a 65-33 win over the Eagles in the 2004 PSAC Playoffs. The teams have spilt the past 10 meetings with Clarion winning 2 of the last 3 and 3 of the past 5. In the three games against each other last year, Heather Cigich paced Clarion with 25.7 ppg, 10.7 rpg, while Melba Melton added 10.7 ppg.  Shanna Oaddams led Shippensburg with 13.0 ppg, 10.3 rpg. Jennifer Scaffidi added 12.0 ppg and 14 assists, while Megan Fogle had 12.0 ppg, 4.3 rpg. Shippensburg is glad to see Cigich gone. In four seasons and 10 games, she averaged 19.8 ppg and 11.5 rpg vs. the Raiders.
