Text Box: EAGLES CLOSE OUT HOME SEASON TONIGHT
This is the final home game of the year for Clarion. The Golden Eagles are 8-2 at Tippin Gym this season and 21-3 over the past two years.
IF CLARION CONTINUES TO WIN, PSAC PLAYOFFS WILL FOLLOW
Clarion controls its own destiny in the PSAC Playoff race. If the Eagles win tonight against Edinboro and Saturday at IUP, they will make their 10th straight PSAC Playoff appearance, which would be the longest active streak in the PSAC-West. Clarion’s 88-74 win over California Saturday moved the Eagles into a fourth place tie with IUP with the top 4 teams from the PSAC-West making the postseason. Clarion also trails California by just one game for third place.
VAUGHNS CLIMBING THE CHARTS
After pouring in a career high 30 points in Clarion’s win over Cal Saturday, senior guard Terrance Vaughns is just 6 points shy of becoming the 13th player in school history to score 1,300 career points. Vaughns is within range of the 12th highest scorer in school history Gregg Frist, who finished his career in 1998 with 1,315 points. Vaughns is also just the 6th player in school history to have 1,200 career points AND 250 career assists (253). He ranks 14th in school history in assists.
averaged 12.3 ppg  and had 24 assists.
SOLID FROM THE LINE
Clarion has been solid from the free-throw line this year connecting on 74.8% of its charity shots. The Eagles have risen that level in PSAC-West play shooting 79.1 percent from the line against conference foes. In case you were wondering, the school record for free-throw percentage in a season is 74.6% in 1993-94. Terrance Vaughns leads the club at 87.7%, which would be the 2nd best at Clarion.  (School record is 91.7% by Steve Serwatka in 01-02)
