Text Box: PSAC-WEST MEN’S BASKETBALL
California Vulcans (16-8, 6-3 PSAC-West)
at Clarion Golden Eagles (12-11, 4-5)
Text Box: TONIGHT IS SENIOR NIGHT
Tonight is Senior Night for the Golden Eagles. Clarion is honoring two players and a manager tonight. Terrance Vaughns and Michael Clarke are the players and Brian McGuire is the manager.
EAGLES CONTROL THEIR OWN DESTINY
Thanks to the 78-69 win over Slippery Rock and IUP’s 80-79 loss to Edinboro, Clarion now controls its own destiny in the PSAC Playoff race. If the Golden Eagles win out (home to Cal and Edinboro and at IUP) they will go to the PSAC Playoffs for a PSAC-West leading 10th straight season. There are a few different ways Clarion could still make the playoffs if they lost one of those games.  Clarion is a 1/2 game back of IUP for 4th place.
VAUGHNS BECOME 6TH EAGLE TO RECORD 1,200 POINTS, 250 ASSISTS IN A CAREER
On Wednesday night at Slippery Rock, Terrance Vaughns became the 6th player in school history to record 1,200 career points and 250 career assists. He now has 1,264 points (13th in school history) and 251 assists (14th in school history).
GETTING A LIFT FROM FRANKLIN
Clarion got a big lift Wednesday night when point guard Bobby Franklin returned to the line-up after missing five games and nearly all of a sixth with an injury. Franklin played 26 minutes off the bench against The Rock and scored six points while dishing out three assists and getting a steal. On the season, Franklin leads Clarion and is third in the PSAC with 4.28 apg. He also averages 11.1 ppg. Without Franklin, freshman Ryan Smith and Vaughns were forced into the point guard roles. Smith had 14 points and 14 assists in the six games, while Vaughns averaged 12.3 ppg  and had 24 assists.
TEAMS HAVE SPLIT LAST 10 MEETINGS
Clarion and Ca have split the last 10 meetings with Clarion winning 3 times at home and twice at Cal.
