CLARION NOTES: Clarion has lost five straight games for the first time since 1995-96 … Ryan Wells has been the Golden Eagles most consistent performer the last month averaging a team-high 13.5 ppg, 8.5 rpg … He has four double-doubles in his last seven games … The Golden Eagles close out the regular season with two of its final three games on the road … Clarion is at Lock Haven Saturday, hosts Edinboro Wednesday and travels to Shippensburg Feb. 28.

                        Tonight is “Spirit Night” at Tippin Gym. The events is sponsored by the UAB/Student Senate/the Clarion Athletic Department/Panhellemic Council/InterHall Council. Events include

·        EAGLES’ NEST T-SHIRTS GIVEN AWAY- The first 350 Clarion students through the doors received “Eagles’ Nest T-Shirts starting at 5:30 p.m.

·        RANDOM GIVEAWAYS – Throughout the night, free giveaways, including coupons to local restraints, will be randomly given out during the night

·        CAMPUS FEST DISCOUNT IF EAGLES COMBINE FOR 140 POINTS – Everyone in attendance will receive $5 off one of the two main Campus Fest events if the Clarion men’s and women’s teams combine to score at least 140 points tonight … The events fans can chose between are the April 25 concert featuring Fuel as the headline act along with Diamond Rio and Kelis or the April 28 comedian show given by Jim Brewuer.

CLARION TO RETIRE REGGIE WELLS, JR.’S CU FOOTBALL JERSEY

The Clarion jersey No. 56 worn by former Golden Eagle football standout and current Arizona Cardinal Reggie Wells, Jr., will be retired at halftime of the men’s game tonight. Wells was a 2002 AP “Little All-America” Selection, a first-team AFCA All-America, a second-team Football Gazette & D-II Football.com All-America selection, a first-team PSAC & first-team Co-Sida/Daktronics All-Region selection his senior season before being drafted in the sixth round of the 2003 NFL Draft by the Cardinals with the 177th overall pick. He is the son of Clarion Hall of Fame Basketball Player Reggie Wells, Sr., and Diane Wells. His brother Ryan is a member of the men’s basketball team.
