GAME NOTES: Clarion freshman Terrance Vaughns was named the PSAC-West Rookie of the Week for the third time this season after averaging 7.0 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 4.0 apg and 3.5 spg as the Golden Eagles beat California 63-61 and IUP 63-58 With the win over IUP, Clarion clinched its seventh straight PSAC playoff spot The Golden Eagles have the second longest active playoff streak in the PSAC-West behind IUP, who had qualified 10 times in a row coming into the season Clarion controls its own destiny in the PSAC-West race with four games left. If the Golden Eagles win out they will clinch their third PSAC-West title since 1997 Clarion head coach Dr. Ron Righter won his 250th game as Clarions head coach Saturday Righter is the winningest coach in Golden Eagle history with a record of 250-146 (.631) in his 15th season In 17 years as a head coach, Righter is 274-170 Slippery Rock has been a hard-luck lead all season The Pride have been outscored by an average of just 4.8 ppg this season and have played eight games that have been decided by six points or less.
