SHEARER CLOSING IN ON BEING FIFTH PLAYER IN CLARION HISTORY WITH 1,200 CAREER POINTS & 700 CAREER REBOUNDS

David Shearer (Sr., Greensburg/Hempfield) is seven points shy of becoming only the fifth player in school history to record 1,200 career points and 700 career rebounds.

Shearer, who has scored 137 points while grabbing 116 rebounds this season, has 1,193 career points and 758 career rebounds. He would join Terry Roseto, Reggie Wells Sr., Chris Roosevelt and Jack Derlink as the only players in school history to reach the 1,200 points-700 rebounds mark. Shearer is currently 16th in school history in scoring and 7th in rebounding.

Shearer’s first opportunity at the mark will be Wednesday when the Golden Eagles host Slippery Rock at 8 p.m.
