Clarion University’s online medical imaging program ranks fifth in the nation for Best Radiology Technology Degrees.
College Choice gave Clarion University this distinction after conducting a nationwide search of schools that provide radiology technology programs. Clarion University is the only Pennsylvania university to make the list.
“First, we located the best programs in the country by taking an objective look at the best schools in the country as measured by reputation, student satisfaction, program quality, and return on investment,” College Choice stated on its website. “Then we examined their radiology programs. Finally, we looked at the bottom line – How much does it cost? We combined these factors to reach our College Choice Score, which determined where each school fits into the big scheme of things. The end result is a list of schools that not only represent the best radiology technology education you can get and a good return on investment but also one that will fit your budget.”
Students who earn Clarion University's 120-credit Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging Sciences choose between the radiologic technology or ultrasound (sonography) concentrations. The programs have an academic preparation of two years (60 semester hours of science and general education) at either Venango or Clarion campuses or an online degree completion option. The radiologic technology concentration continues with a two-year program of clinical study (60 semester hours) at one of six JRCERT-accredited, hospital-based schools of radiologic technology.
