Clarion University – Venango’s ASN Nursing Club invites the community to its 5th Annual 5K Walk/Run Oct. 11 on Justus Trail, Oil City. Check-in begins at 3:30 p.m.; the race starts at 4:30 p.m.
This year's theme is All in for the Fight. Proceeds benefit American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. The walks raise awareness and funds to save lives from breast cancer and bring people together to make a difference for everyone who has been touched by breast cancer. The events raise money to fund innovative research, provide free information and support, and to help people reduce their breast cancer risk or find it early, when it's most treatable.
Register the day of the event or online at www.makingstrideswalk.org/erie (register for Making Strides of Erie, join under the Venango-ClarionUniversity-NursingClub team). Cost is $10; make checks payable to CSA.
