Richard Sabousky, chairman of Clarion University Department of Special Education,
was awarded the Rehabilitation Community Provider Association Innovation Award during
a ceremony at an RCPA conference.
Sabousky was honored for developing an online degree program in which professionals in the human resources industry can earn college credits through professional training courses.
Sabousky, who serves on the board of directors of Venango Training & Development Center, collaborated with VTDC to review mandated training and identify learning objectives and outcomes for the online degree that would be converted into credits toward a certificate, associate degree or bachelor's degree in liberal studies with a concentration in community services.
