Eagle Ambassadors and Chartwells team up for 'Donate-a-Meal'

October 24, 2017

Clarion University students are encouraged to donate their Nov. 17 dinner board meals with proceeds from the donated meals to purchase turkeys for families in need during the holiday season.

Students can sign up to donate at the Eagle Ambassador table inside the dining area of Eagle Commons. In order to donate, students provide volunteers with their names and ID numbers. The donated meals will be deducted from their meal plans for Nov. 17, and Chartwells will use the proceeds to purchase turkeys.

The Eagle Ambassadors will have sign-up available at Eagle Commons at the remaining dates and times:

  • 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24,
  • 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30,
  • 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1

Cash donations will be accepted for those who do not have meal plans, as well as for those faculty and staff who wish to donate toward this cause. Donations will be accepted during the times and dates listed above inside Eagle Commons.

All turkeys purchased through this drive will be given to Clarion County Community Action for distribution to area families.
