Welcome back, students

March 16, 2017

Welcome back from spring break. We hope you had a relaxing time and are ready to begin the semester.

Don't forget to check the Office of the Registrar if you have any questions about important dates or if you are preparing to graduate in May.

Even if you're not graduating this semester, please remember there are several key resources that can come in handy for the remaining portion of the semester.

You'll want to make use of the state-of-the-art university libraries for researching ideas and to use as a quiet place to study. The Writing Center also is a valuable resource for proofreading final projects and gaining tangible writing ideas.

Before you turn in a project or take an exam, take a few minutes and unwind with the meditation room located in the first floor sunroom in Becht Hall. This relaxing space is one of several lounges in Becht Hall where you can take a break.

Becht Hall serves as a hub for student services such as the Advising Services Center in 419 Becht Hall, Tutoring and Testing in 324 Becht Hall and Career Services in 419 Becht Hall. Another important service is campus Counseling Services in 256 Becht Hall. Trained counselors are there to help you deal with life's issues and concerns.

The Clarion University Store, located along Suites on Main South along U.S. Route 322, has all of your Clarion University merchandise and textbooks.

Finally, don't forget to make time for fun – an important part of the college experience. There are more than 140 campus organizations with which you can get involved, a campus movie theater, as well as downtown shops and restaurants. Clarion University also is in close proximity to hiking trails and waterways for swimming, canoeing and kayaking when the weather warms up.

Don't forget that CampusFest is quickly approaching. Don't miss out on the acts that will be performing for this annual festival including The Struts and Nelly.

Enjoy the rest of your spring semester as a Courageous. Confident. Golden Eagle.
