Reception opens collaborative exhibition at university art gallery

four seasons termanAn opening reading and reception is planned for “The Four Seasons and Selected Works: A Collaborative Book and Exhibit” from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 7 in Clarion University art gallery.

The evening will feature an exhibition of a book hand-sewn by former Clarion instructor Susan Frakes and featuring a segmented poem by English professor Dr. Phil Terman, who will present a reading, accompanied by jazz pianist Mark DeWalt. Paintings by the book's artist, James Stewart, will also be displayed.

The exhibition will be open through March 25. The gallery is on Level A of Carlson Library. Gallery hours are noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 1 to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Admission is free, and both the reception and exhibition are open to the public. Copies of the book will be available for purchase.
