Welcome to Clarion University

August 28, 2017

Welcome to Clarion University. We hope you had a relaxing summer and are ready to begin the semester.

Don't forget to check the Office of the Registrar if you have any questions about important dates or if you are preparing to graduate in December.

Even if you're not graduating this semester, please remember there are several key resources that can come in handy for the semester.

You'll want to make use of the state-of-the-art university libraries for researching ideas and to use as a quiet place to study.

Your first stop should be the Student Success Center which houses different programs to aid in your academic progress. The Student Success Center features Advising Services, Disability Support, Educational Talent Search, Minority Student Services, TRiO Support Programs, Tutoring and Learning Skills, Upward Bound and The Writing Center.

Before you turn in a project or take an exam, take a few minutes and unwind with the meditation room located in the first floor sunroom in Becht Hall. This relaxing space is one of several lounges in Becht Hall where you can take a break.

Another important service is campus Counseling Services in 256 Becht Hall. Trained counselors are there to help you deal with life's issues and concerns.

The Clarion University Store, located along Suites on Main South along U.S. Route 322, has all of your Clarion University merchandise and textbooks.

Finally, don't forget to make time for fun – an important part of the college experience. There are more than 140 campus organizations with which you can get involved, a campus movie theater, as well as downtown shops and restaurants. Clarion University also is in close proximity to hiking trails and waterways for swimming, canoeing and kayaking when the weather warms up.

Don't forget that the 64th Autumn Leaf Festival is quickly approaching and will be held Sept. 30 through Oct. 8. Don't miss out on this beloved event which coincides with our own homecoming festivities Saturday, Oct. 7, and will honor Clarion University's 150th anniversary with its theme: Leaves of Blue and Gold, Celebrating Clarion University's 150th Anniversary.

Enjoy your fall semester as a Courageous. Confident. Golden Eagle.
