Eagle Ambassadors deliver turkeys purchased through the Donate a Meal campaign to Clarion County Community Action.

Clarion University students have once again proven why they rock.

The entire Clarion student community was invited to join the Eagle Ambassadors and Chartwells Dining Services in their Donate a Meal campaign to share a meal with needy individuals and families in and around Clarion this holiday season.

Students were encouraged to donate their November 18 board meal dinner or make cash donations to support this project, and the results were nothing short of amazing with 500 students joining the cause.

Eagle Ambassadors also received a generous donation from the Clarion University Alumni Association.

On Tuesday, Eagle Ambassadors presented Clarion County Community Action with 61 turkeys (monetary value of $1,425.50) for distribution to area families so they could enjoy a warm, nutritious meal on Thanksgiving.

This year’s effort is one of the most successful to date, with 53 more turkeys donated than in the 2015 campaign.

Everyone involved in this project can be very proud of their efforts to share some of their blessings with the community.

If you missed the opportunity to donate, you will have another chance during the upcoming spring semester, so stay tuned...and to find out more about this year's campaign, visit the Twins on Main blog.

Happy Thanksgiving!
