Clarion University invites kids to Summer Reading Camp

Clarion University Education Department invites children ages pre-K through 8th grade to Summer Reading Camp 2016. The camp will be held from June 14 to July 1 on the Clarion campus. There will be two daily sessions, at 8:15 a.m. and at 10:45 a.m. Cost is $20 per child.

Participants will work in small groups with graduate students on activities such as: Books in Motion; large group activities with props such as hula hoops, yarn balls and bean bags; Brain Break; and parachute activities. Activities will be appropriate for the participants' ages.

Instructors will be certified teachers completing requirements for their Master of Education degree and reading specialist certification.

An open house for family and friends of participants is set for July 1.
