Dr. Chinintorn (Pom) Nakhata, associate professor of Marketing in Clarion’s College of Business Administration & Information Sciences (COBAIS), received the GSU-CIBER Third Place Award for her poster presentation “Doing Business in European Union: A Case Study in Belgium”.

Dr. Chad Smith, professor of Administrative Sciences at Clarion, co-authored the work.

Participants in the Faculty Development in International Business (FDIB) 2016 conference held recently in Bulkhead, GA were invited to submit proposals for poster sessions.

The goal of the poster sessions was to expose and share cutting-edge practices in teaching International Business.

The top three presenters were recognized at the conference with a monetary award: Emerald Publishing Best Poster Award – $1,000 prize, GSU-CIBER Second Place Award – $750 prize, and GSU-CIBER Third Place Award – $500 prize.

“I am pleased that our poster was chosen, and I feel that presenting this paper is good for Clarion University as it shows that COBAIS puts priority in international business-related courses, especially involving study abroad,” says Dr. Nakhata.
