Community invited to have a ‘ghoul-d’ time at CU Halloween party

October 14, 2015

Clarion University’s Emerging Leaders will host a community Halloween party from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 24 in the multi-purpose room of Gemmell Student Complex. All area children are welcome, as long as they are accompanied by an adult.

Campus groups will host tables of activities with special prizes and giveaways. The event will also offer themed music and a costume contest for children, beginning at 3 p.m.

"The party is full of tricks and treats for everyone," said Kelly Ryan, assistant director of the Center for Leadership and Involvement.

Emerging Leaders, an organization of first- and second-year leadership students, organized the party in an effort to provide the Clarion area with a fun and safe atmosphere during Halloween.

"We hope to have a lot of community members having a great time with activities and entertainment," Ryan said. "It's never too early to get kids on a college campus."
