Clarion University hosts ‘Use of Force: Policing Our Communities’ panel

Clarion University will host a panel discussion, “Use of Force: Policing Our Communities,” from 6 to 8 p.m. April 13 in Carlson Library, Level A. The event is open to the public.

Sponsored by the Office of the President and The Presidential Commission on Human Relations, the panelists will include:

  • Karen Whitney, Ph.D., president of Clarion University (moderator)
  • Professor David A. Harris, distinguished faculty scholar and professor of law at University of Pittsburgh School of Law, and a nationally acclaimed expert on police, race and criminal justice issues
  • Reggie Wells Sr., retired Pennsylvania State Police trooper and Clarion University alumnus
  • Rex Munsee, Clarion County sheriff
  • Jason Hendershot, Clarion University chief of police
  • Paul Klenowski, Ph.D., professor of criminal justice, Clarion University Department of Justice, Law, Technology, and Liberal Arts
  • Tracy Park, victim's advocate, Clarion County District Attorney's Office
  • Cordell Ratliff, president, Clarion University Chapter, NAACP
  • Traesha Pritchard, president, Clarion University Black Student Union
