Food for Profit, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Feb. 27 – Helps those interested in creating their own food business gather information to get started. Guest speakers and educational presentations will give a step-by-step guide on creating a business plan, financing the business, safe food preparation and storage. Cost is $45. QuickBooks 2013, Level I, 5:30 to 9 p.m. April 22 and 24 – Learn the basics of QuickBooks accounting software, including: setting up a company profile, navigating the system, accounts payable (entering/paying bills), accounts receivable (invoicing customers/receiving payment) and bank reconciliation. The course is approved for eight CPE credits through the Center for Accounting Education and Research. Cost is $199 (includes manual); register for Quickbooks Level II also (total $360), and save $38.
