Visiting writer Gerry LaFemina will perform two shows at Clarion University Art Gallery

Gerry LaFemina will visit Clarion University March 5 as part of the Spoken Arts Reading Series, sponsored by the English department and Tobeco literary magazine.

At 4 p.m., LaFemina will talk about writing, editing and teaching. At 7:30 p.m. he will read from his own work. Both events will be in the art gallery on the lower level of Carlson Library. They are free and open to the public.

Author of 11 books of poetry, prose poetry and fiction, LaFemina is associate professor of English at Frostburg State University and directs the university’s Frostburg Center for Creative Writing. He has received fellowships from the Irving Gilmore Emerging Artists Fund and the Michigan Council for the Arts and Cultural Affairs.
