The South Asian Tsunami and its Aftermath


The Clarion University Community is profoundly saddened by the catastrophe caused by the South Asian Tsunamis on December 26, 2004. In the aftermath of this tragedy, we are cautiously optimistic that the Clarion Community (faculty, staff and students and their relatives) does not appear to have suffered any losses at this time. This good news notwithstanding, we recognize that there are several of our international students and some faculty who are from the affected countries where there has been an unimaginable loss of lives and livelihoods.

There are many Relief Organizations that are accepting donations. The following list of Relief Organizations and emails is an excerpt from the New York Times and is provided for your general information:
