Pat Lucas '89 is the person to see if you are interested in major sporting events and concerts in the Pittsburgh area.
As general manager of Ticketmaster in Pittsburgh, Lucas manages a 12-person staff and oversees ticketing services for the entertainment venues in the Pittsburgh area.
Lucas graduated from Clarion with an undergraduate degree in communication. After college, he worked at Starlake Amphitheater in Pittsburgh for two years and at Mud Island Amphitheater in Memphis, Tennessee, for a year. He then came back to Pittsburgh where he was hired as general manager.
"I feel the communication program at Clarion was a good path towards my chosen employment," he says. "I was involved in the radio station and the student newspaper at Clarion, too."
Lucas was significantly impressed by the internship program at Clarion. "I was an intern at WDVE in Pittsburgh," he recalled. "Clarion has a very good reputation with WDVE and they usually send two or three interns each summer. I wouldn't have even known about the internships if I wasn't so involved in the communication program. The intern program is a very good program."
Lucas lives in Pittsburgh with his wife Jody.
