Charles Komisak of Greensburg retired from the Hempfield Area School District after 37 years of service.

Norge Luvison was inducted into the Warren County chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame. He and his wife, Eva, reside in Sugar Grove.

1951

James and Patricia (Skinner '52) Schweppe reside in Flemington, NJ. They are both retired, and spend time reading, traveling, gardening, and working with church projects.

1952

D. June (Russell) Pearson retired from Oil City School District. She and her husband, Robert, reside in Oil City. They have two daughters and one grandson.

Shirley (Perry) Rogers of Oil City recently retired after 40 years of teaching in grades K-3 in the Oil City Schools. She has traveled extensively over the years. She is the volunteer piano player for the Child Evangelism Group and the Presbyterian Home in Oil City.

1954

Margaret (Abplanalp) Dean resides in James Creek. She and her husband, Rev. Dr. J. William, have five grown children.

1955

Sam Peshkopia retired in October 1996, after 40 years in education, the last 28 as principal for the Cedar Grove School District, Cedar Grove, NJ. He and his wife, Jeannette, reside in North Haledon, NJ. They have two children.

1956

Hugh Jacobs retired as administrative assistant to the Dean of Education at Regent University, and is now working part-time for Episcopal Church of the Messiah. He and his wife, Dorothy, reside in Chesapeake, VA. They have three children, and seven grandchildren.

Samuel Rogal is chair of the division of humanities for Illinois Valley Community College. He recently published two books. He and his wife, Susan, reside in La Salle, IL. They have two sons.

1957

Patricia (Hoffman) McDaniel recently retired from the Okaloosa County School District with 30 years of service. She resides in Niceville, FL, and has one daughter.

1958

Marilyn Robb of Beaverdale retired from Intermediate Unit #8 where she was employed as a speech and hearing therapist. She is president of the Cambria Chapter of DASR.

James Demski of Griffin, GA, recently retired from the University of Georgia. He plans to continue with his Christmas tree farm and spend time with his grandchildren.

Rex Morgan of Chardon, Ohio, is now consulting for the Cleveland Area Schools. He retired from his position in secondary school administration.

1961

M. Grace Snyder-Donahoo retired after 30 years of teaching in Dade Co. & Orange Co., Florida. She is currently working part time as an exam proctor for the state of Florida, and spending her free-time golfing and having fun.

Richard Greco expected to retire in June after 35 years as science department chair and chemistry teacher for the Riverview School District. He and his wife, Thelma, reside in New Kensington and have four grown children.

1963

Susanna (Karg) Kurtzhals retired from Jamestown High School after 33 years of teaching English. She plans to travel through Europe with her husband, Ted ('63), who is a math teacher at Jamestown High School. They reside in Jamestown, NY.

1966

Dennis Rumaugh of Tarentum retired from the Leechburg Area School District after 30 years of service.

Richard Seman of Monroeville retired in Dec. 1994 after 30 years of teaching in Plum Boro School District. Since then, he and his wife, Carol, have worked for seasons at Yellowstone National Park, Sandcaste Water Park, and Naples, FL. They plan to work a season in Antarctica as research support staff.

William Runkle has taught biology in the Mechanicsburg School District for the past 30 years. He also has his own business as a disc jockey for private parties, weddings, school dances, etc. He resides in Mechanicsburg with his wife, Joan.

1967

Dr. Kenneth Roadman is the manager of instructional systems design for Hughes Training, Inc. He and his wife, Jill, reside in Arlington, TX.

1968

Dennis O'Neill is chief of the information management division for the Department of the Army, Ft. Stewart. He is a member of the American Cancer Society Board-Richmond Hill, VFW, and the Exchange Club of Richmond Hill. He and his wife, Glenda, reside in Richmond Hill, GA. They have four children.

Lynn (Santoliquido) Tharan (M.S. '92) is the director of library operations for the New Bethlehem Area Free Public Library. She is a member of the Clarion University Alumni Board of Directors and is a director of the New Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce. She and her husband, Michael, reside in New Bethlehem.

1970

Kathleen Byrne of San Francisco, CA, is a part-time learning specialist/special education teacher for the San Francisco Unified School District. She recently married Jim Galvin.

Richard DeMarte is chairman of the social science department for the Twin City Christian School and prodcution manager for the WCMX radio. He and his wife, Deborah, reside in Fitchburg, MA.

Ray Lichauer of Pittsburgh recently accepted a position as a Medicare fraud and abuse analyst for Highmark Blue Cross/Blue Shield.

Fred McIlhattan of Knox is a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

1971

Linda Abbey of Temecula, CA, is the director of human resources development for the Electronics Materials Division of Dexter Corporation.

Robert and Donna (Kreuzer '72) Hoffer reside in Ephrata, with their three children. Robert was recently promoted to manager of Large Bar Finishing Operations for Carpenter Technology Corporation, a producer of special steel products in Reading. Donna has accepted a teaching position with Our Mother of Perpetual Help School in Ephrata.

1972

Nancy (Antonio) Biggins is a speech language pathologist for Horizon Hospital. She, her husband, M. Brian, and their two sons reside in Hermitage.

Jetta (Gilligan) Borg is an editor for Stockholm International Peace Research Institute. She and her husband, Rolf, reside in Kista, Sweden.

Georgina (Mactinet) Rampach is employed by AMP Inc., of Harrisburg. She and her husband, John, reside in Hummelstown.

Alice Young is teaching elementary instrumental music in Armstrong School District. She also directs the Grace Presbyterian Church choir, and is a member of the church's bell choir.

Richard Holsinger is a claims examiner for the US Department of Labor and is a campaign volunteer for United Way of Greater Johnstown. He and his wife, Sherry, reside in Windber. They have two sons.

Teresa (Metalonis) Barraclough is manager of reimbursement for Colorado Springs Health Partners Inc. She and her husband, William, reside in Colorado Springs, CO.

Michael Martin is an export sales manager for Europe and Africa for Zippo Manufacturing Company, Bradford.

Elizabeth (Ray) Eichner is a high school English and middle school foreign languages teacher with the Department of Defense Dependents Schools. She and her husband, Chris, and a daughter reside in England.

Theodore DiCola is an instrumental music teacher for the Shikellamy School District. He and his wife, Ruth, reside in Selinsgrove. They have three children.

Shelley (Derzak) and Patrick "Spot" Hiegel ('75) reside in Pittsburgh. Patrick was recently promoted to customer service manager for Digital Tool, Pittsburgh. Shelley was recently promoted to C & E specialist for the Parent and Child Guidance Center, Pittsburgh.

1974

Denise (Liptak) Hershberger is the principal of Bayside Elementary School. She recently restructured her school from a traditional-type learning to the continuous approach. She is working toward a Ph.D. in education from the University of Maryland. She and her husband, Gary ('73), reside in Arnold, MD. They have two children.

Dr. Allan Thrush was promoted to superintendent of Elizabethtown School District. He and his wife, Lynda (Smith '74), reside in Lewisberry. They have three children.

Linda (Lezak) Gordon is a partner in her own company Comp-U-Learn USA Inc. in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She recently married James Gordon and they reside in Ft. Lauderdale.

1975

Kathleen (Schuerger) Bradford is an inventory/production control specialist for Harada Industry of America, Inc. She and her two children reside in Canton, MI.

Judith Gloystein of Wilkes-Barre is a rehabilitation teacher for Blindness and Visual Services, Department of Public Welfare, Wilkes Barre.

Patrick "Spot" and Shelley (Derzak '73) Hiegel reside in Pittsburgh. Patrick was recently promoted to customer service manager for Digital Tool, Pittsburgh. Shelley was recently promoted to C & E specialist for the Parent and Child Guidance Center, Pittsburgh.

Calvin Lackey is a classroom teacher for the District of Columbia Public Schools. He recently married Anita White and they are residing in Washington, D.C.

Joe Nichols is a Pennsylvania and New York admissions representative for Northwestern College. He is involved with long distance and marathon training. He, his wife, Kathy, and their three children reside in Marysville, OH.

Rev. Jack Kinneer is a scholar in residence and founder of Echo Hills Christian Study Center. He and his wife, Janice (Williams '75), Reside in Normalville.

Julie (Gatesman) Schill recently accepted the positon of consultant librarian for the newly named Oil Creek District Library Center, Oil City. She received her MSLS from Clarion State College in 1978 and is currently a member of the North Clarion School Board. She and her husband, Donald, and two children reside in Lucinda.

Jane (Runkle) Smeltzer moved from Illinois to Lorton, VA, in Aug. 1996 and is the assistant director for KinderCar Learning Center Inc.

1976

Ronnie Cox of Monaca is a learning support teacher for Aliquippa High School, Aliquippa.

Diane (Clayton) Sadar is currently president of the West View Elementary School PTA. She and her husband, Anthony, reside in Pittsburgh.

Robert Taglieri of Philadelphia recently formed Taglieri Communications Services, providing writing services for marketing, technical and multi-media publications.

Christine (Aungst) Findlay of Dayton, OH, is supervisor of district library/media specialists for Centerville City Schools.

Jeffrey Engstrom is an eighth grade reading teacher for Lakeview Schools. He, his wife, Pamela, and their two sons reside in Stoneboro.

JoEllen (Groff) Stockdale is a music teacher for the Dayton Elementary School. She is choir director of the Dayton United Methodist Church and director of the Dayton Community Children's Choir. She and her husband, Dennis, and son, Curtis, reside in Dayton.

Marilyn (Mayer) Wagener of Monroeville is a research assistant with the University of Pittsburgh.

William Huber is a reading specialist for the Franklin School District. He and his wife, Patricia, reside in Rouseville. They have six children.

Clare Novak is a founding associate of Novak and Associates Performance Counsulting. She published the article "Coaxing Creativity from Technical Professionals" in April 1997 issue of "Technical Skills Training" magazine, published by the American Society for Training and Development. She conducted a two-week, team building, interpersonal communication and presentation skills training for managers in the Egyptian Ministry of Energy and Electricity, Cairo, Egypt. She and her husband, Craig, reside in West Chester.

1977

Suzanne Smith of Wilmington, DE, is a high school library media specialist for the Christina School District. She is currently president of the Delaware School Library Association, and teaches a course at the University of Delaware.

Jay Abrahamovich is a stockbroker for Paine Webber. He and his wife, Kimberly, reside in Colorado Springs, CO.

Alexander Hamilton of Fayetteville, AK, is director of sales and marketing for White River Hardwoods-Woodworks Inc., Fayetteville.

Linda (Gartner) Braund of Pittsburgh is a program review assistant for the Heinz Endowments.

Gretchen (Amthor) Lindsey is a kindergarten teaching assistant and private piano instructor.

Robert Ruth Jr. is a warranty supervisor for Penske Truck Leasing, Reading. He and his wife, Diane, reside in Sinking Spring.

Jane (Shultz) Tretler is a library media specialist for East Syracuse-Minoa School District. She and her husband, Lawrence, reside in Fayetteville, NY, with their daughter.

Karen (Howe) Zigler is assistent manager of Howe's True Value. She, her husband, John, and their two children reside in Warren.

Susan Bissett of Johnstown is a secondary librarian with North Star School District. In 1996, she was named to Who's Who Among American High School Teachers.

Laura (Prater) Visconti is a speech pathologyst/diagnostician for Memorial Spring Shadows Glen Psychiatric Hospital. She, her husband, David, and their son reside in Houston, TX.

1978

Becky (Harkema) Abromitis is a university archivist for the University of Pittsburgh. She and her husband, Vince, reside in Trafford.

Craig Andrews, a former instructor in the marketing department at Clarion University, was promoted to professor of marketing with Marquette University, Milwaukee. He also received the Federal Trade Commission's Award for Meritorious Service as a consumer research specialist with the FTC in Washington, DC, during his sabbatical. He and his wife, Maura, and their three children reside in Milwaukee, WI.

Wade DeLair of Strattanville is employed by National Fuel Corporation as a senior foreman. He recently announced his engagement to Gina Beichner.

Dorothy Green of Austin, TX, received a masters degree in clinical psychology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She is a licensed professional counselor in a psychiatric hospital in Austin and works in the EAP program and coordinates the foreign exchange student program.

Michael Mazza is a technical support specialist for Digital Equipment Corporation. He and his wife, Lucinca (Davis '78), reside in Hollis, NH.

James Hansen of Cypress, TX, is finance and insurance manager for McGinnis Cadillac, Houston, TX.

Diane (Howard) Gilroy is a speech-language clinician for Seneca Highlands IU #9, Smethport. She and her husband, Steve, and son reside in Shinglehouse.

Rande Joy is a certified environmental operator for both the Wastewater and Water Treatment Plants in Corry.

Deborah Berg of Absecon, NJ, is a computer aide with Atlantic Community College. She recently received a Computer Graphic Specialist Certification.

Brenda (Colwell) Connor of York is the business manager for the Harrisburg City School District.

James Snyder of Lewistown is a senior programmer/analyst for the Penn State University Budget Office.

Rick Andrew works in production control for the Hudson Products Corporation. He and his wife, Teresa, and their two children reside in Katy, TX.

Loukas Pallis is CEO/President of Vermont Pancake House and New England Grille Inc., Succasanna, NJ. He and his wife, Monique, and three children reside in Succasanna.

John Zimmerman of Pittsburgh is a geologist for Bakern Environmental Inc., Coraopolis.

Sheri Clouser is a self employed software consultant. She is currently training for the Pittsburgh Marathon. She, her husband, Teddy, and their four children reside in Murrysville.

Terry Gruber is a teacher in the multihandicapped unit of the West Virginia Schools for the Deaf and the Blind, Romney, WV. He and his wife, Solveig, and children reside in Kirby, WV.

Kevin Michael is a supervisor of mathematics instruction for Calvert County Public Schools. He, his wife, Cindy, and their two children reside in St. Leonard, MD.

Beth (Kling) Scearce is a purchasing manager for Alling & Cory. She and her husband, David, reside in Laurel, MD.

David Christianson of Coppell, TX, is a senior account manager for Origin Technology in Business.

Theresa Baker-Smith is vice president and director of internal audit of First Western Bancorp, Inc. She, her husband, Matthew Smith, and their son reside in New Castle.

Mark and Michelle (Shaffer '81) Herzing reside in Aspers. He is a fourth grade elementary teacher for Bermudian Springs Elementary School. She is a high school English teacher for New Oxford School District. They have two sons.

Charles Dinsmore is production coordinator for the Department of University Relations of the University of Pittsburgh. He, his wife, Karen (Kretzler '79), and their two daughters reside in Pittsburgh.

Donald McGrath of Seekonk, MA, is a director of corporate communications for Textron Inc. He retired from the Army in Jan. 1996 after 21 years of service.

Patrick and Shari (Carter '85) Hepinger reside in Erie with their two children. Shari was recently promoted to senior systems information specialist II for Lord Corporation, Erie. Patrick has a new job as assistant principal for Fairview High School, Fairview.

Milt Kochenash was promoted to senior programmer/analyst for Makita Corporation of America. He and his three children reside in Snellville, GA.

Kevin DeZorzi is a computer programer/analyst for the Department of Veterans Affairs. He and his wife, Karla, reside in Atlanta, GA.

Michael "Smi" Robinson of Secane is director of the Upward Bound program for Swarthmore College. He is a certified mediator, a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Inc., a member of the National Association of Black Accountants, and received the Outstanding Young American Award in 1996. He recently announced his engagement to Dana Johnson.

Doug and Karen (Bateman) Phillips reside in Hermitage. He is employed by Electronic Data Systems, Warren, Ohio.

John Gaetano of Putneyville is an assistant instructor in construction technology for the Clarion County Career Center. He recently married Pamala Whitling ('84).

Homer Nine Jr. of Monaca recently took over as president and CEO of Homer Nine & Sons Inc. In its fifth year of business, the company has 27 employees.

1983

Donn and Cynthia (Stoecklein '85) Austin reside in Irwin. Cynthia is a sales manager for Lazarus Department Store, Greensburg. Donn is a saleman for Lance Inc., Irwin.

John Bell Jr. is employed by GPU Energy, Knox. He recently married Nancy McCracken, and they are residing in Cranberry.

Vincent Benz of Yardley is an information technology manager for Rohm and Haas Company, Philadelphia.

Rick Birch is assistant vice president/systems coordinator for Mellon Bank, Pittsburgh. He and his wife, Kelly, and daughter reside in Pittsburgh.

Kathleen (Katoes) Corcoran is director of development and community relations for the Mars Home for Youth, Mars. She worked nine years for Westinghouse in employee communications and four years for the United Way. She and her husband, Patrick, and daughter reside in New Brighton.

Pablo Correa is an imports and customer service manager. He resides in Colombia, South America, with his wife, Ana, and a son.

Thomas Fuhrer graduated in Dec. 1996 from the Naval Postgraduate School with a master's degree in financial managment. He was recently transferred to headquarters of the U.S. Marine Corps as a congressional liasion. He and his wife, Joan, and three children reside in Stafford, VA.

David Gatesman of Boardman, Ohio, is an auditor for Hills Department Store. He planned to marry Mary Siegel on July 12, 1997.

Thea (Worrell) Nixon was promoted to sales manager of WPIC/WYFM. She is secretary of the Shenango Valley Chapter of the American Business Women's Association, and is a member of both the Shenango Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Sharon Rotary.

Kathleen (Jackson) Schneider is the director of asset managment for Coastal Power, Houston, TX. She is also a certified public accountant. She resides in Houston, TX, with her husband, Ronald, and twin daughters.

Robert Pils is the director of custodial operations at Colgate University. He is currently working on attaining a Class A skydiving license. He, his wife, Debra Yeaman, and their two children reside in Watertown, NY.

Linda (Ealy) Cichra is a senior environmental specialist for GAI Consultants Inc. She and her husband, Robert, reside in Pittsburgh.

Scott Edwards is a quality process engineer with B. Braun Medical Inc. He, his wife, Stephanie (Strode '83), and their two children reside in Bethlehem.

Sue Sanner is a speech clinician with Carolina Forest Elementary School. She, her husband, Daniel, and their son reside in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Jeffrey Petruski is a senior publications editor for AEG Transportation. He and his two children reside in Huntingdon.

Ronald Sloan is an accountant with RECAMP. He and his wife, Brenda, reside in Grahamsville, NY.

Jeff and Joanne (Compton '83) Michael and son reside in Harleysville. Jeff merged his CPA practice with the new firm of Bluestein, Michael and Co., Springhouse, in January. Joanne is employed by Domus Inc. of Philadelphia.

1984

Randy Gromlich is the manager of sales, marketing and international service for GTE Telephone Operations. He and his wife, Betsy, reside in Saipan.

Pamela (Whitling) and John Gaetano ('82) reside in Putneyville. Pamela is a part-time employee. John is an assistant instructor in construction technology for the Clarion County Area Vocational-Technical School.

Laure (Anger) Lacher of Pittsburgh is a district sales manager for Avon Products.

Margie (Nanz) Smilowitz is a first grade teacher for Santa Rita Elementary School. She and her husband, Gary, will be transferred to Atsugi Naval Air Station, Japan, in November. They currently reside in Monterey, CA.

Bill Rankin is the owner of Chevrank Music Publishing and Walrus Music Productions. He is a member of the Country Music Association. He has performed with various country artists, and has appeared on The Grand Old Opry. He and his wife, Erin, reside in Franklin, TN.

Jeff Cleland is a department analyst for the sales division for American Greeting Corporation. He resides in Bay Village, OH.

Steven and Kathi (Farrell) Johnson reside in Brookhaven. He was recently promoted to project leader in the Information Technologies Department of Lukens Inc., Coatesville.

David Williams of Lovettsville, VA, is a project manager with ASI, Inc.

Sue Steis of Kittanning is a proofreader for Pittsburgh Tag Systems. She is studying medical transcription.

Terry Bean of Strattanville is the supervisor of Family Links, an intensive home based family therapy program, operated by Clarion County Mental Health.

Melanie Cochran of Dallas, TX, is employed in a group home for mentally handicapped adults. She recently announced her engagement to Jeff Horton.

Betty (Sandvik) Abrams works in customer service for Hecht's. She, her husband, Keith, and their three children reside in Charlotte, NC.

Stephen Arthur of Littlestown was promoted to controller of the York Newspaper Company.

Patricia (Hannon) Egan is a special education teacher for Kittatiny Regional High School, Newton, NJ. She and her husband, Patrick, and a son reside in Belvedere, NJ.

Gregory Harned is the advertising department manager for Household Retail Services, Wood Dale, IL. He and his wife, Susan, and a daughter reside in Algonquin, IL.

Shari (Carter) and Patrick ('82) Hepinger reside in Erie with their two children. Shari was recently promoted to senior systems information specialist for Lord Corporation, Erie. Patrick has a new job as assistant principal of Fairview High School, Fairview.

Rich Jones of Niceville, FL, is a senior software engineer with Tybrin Corp., Shalimar, FL. He recently completed his master's degree in software engineering at the University of West Florida.

Brenda (Wayne) Turk is a manager in healthcare consulting at Ernst & Young. She received a CPA and an MBA from DePaul University. She and her husband, Raymond, reside in Aurora, IL.

Gregory Smathers is a broker and co-owner of Re/Max River Country Realty. He, his wife, Brenda (Buzard '88), and their son reside in Clarion.

Paula Shultz was promoted to assistant to the vice president of First of America Bank Corporation. She and her two children reside in Greenwood, IN.

Ron Sylvester of Jersey City, NJ, is senior vice president for Edelman Public Relation Worldwide.

Mary Kulasza is a teacher for the Karns City School District. She recently announced her engagement to Kenneth Lavella.

Dennis Glover was promoted to director of sales for Time Warner Communication Florida Division. He is a member of Winter Park Alumni of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity, CTAM, the National Association of Minorities in Cable, and SW Jaycees of Orlando, FL. He, his wife, Marchetta, and their son reside in Winter Springs, FL.

Karen (Hale) Gambone is employed with GEICO Insurance Company as a staff writer. She and her husband, Anthony ('86), reside in Columbia, MD.

Dianna Love is a unit leader for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Western Pennsylvania in Pittsburgh. She planned to marry Thomas Bevan on May 10, 1997.

Jill (Anderson) Fishinger was awarded a CPA from the state of Colorado in January. She is a controller with Gold Point Lodging and Realty. She and her husband, Kurt, reside in Alma, CO.

Becky (Guy) Dare of Moon Township is a flight attendant with USAirways.

Eric Kaldy is vice president of North American Operations for the Automation Partnership, Killingworth, CT. He and his wife, Christine, and a son reside in Killingworth.

Kevin and Tammy (Hawk) Harayda reside in Allentown. Tammy has accepted the new position of intake coordinator for the behavioral medicine program at St. Lukes Hospital, Bethlehem.

Jeffrey and Linda (Ambrose '89) Haffner reside in Ambridge with their new son. Jeff is the lead programmer/analyst for PNC Bank. Linda received her master's degree in special education from Slippery Rock University, where she was named Outstanding Graduate Student in special education, and is a learning support teacher in the Freedom Area School District.

Don Woodring is a teacher for the South Hunterdon Regional High School, Lambertville, NJ.
