Clarion University's Summer Academies are here to offer you a unique angle on the world of science, math, and technology. Your future might just include one of these amazing weeks away from home… from your front door to Clarion's backyard.

Try your hand at biochemistry at the molecular level with computerized molecular modeling programs. Or test your talents in forensic science and create your own DNA fingerprint. And if that's not enough, check out the bugs! That's right… bugs. Our field ecology academy will take you into the realm of insects, their habitats, and their effect on the world around us.

Summers in recent years have included the following academies:

• Biotechnology: Genomic Research and Computer Analysis
• Environmental Biology and Mathematics
• Investigating Chemistry and Biochemistry with Computers
• Molecular Biology and Forensic Science
• Using Insects as Indicators

Summer Academies are accepting applications nearly year round. So, you think you're still up for the challenge? Keep in mind that the academies are designed for truly motivated students. You should come with a desire to research in the sciences, mathematics, and/or technology. If you're that motivated student, in the top 15-percent for your class, and a grade-point average that proves you can do the work then don't wait. Apply today.
