At
Clarion, we offer several areas of specialization:
1.
Environmental Science
Environmental Biology is interdisciplinary in nature and
requires broad training in such areas as Earth Science,
Geology, and Chemistry in conjunction with that of Biology.
Our
graduates are working with a variety of state and federal
agencies involved in environmental assessment and biomonitoring.
Some are working in parks, with zoos, or in botanical
gardens. A number have chosen to go into the private sector
and are now employed with environmental consulting or
engineering companies.

the Environment, which serves a focal point for regional
environmental studies, coordinates environmental outreach
activities, and promotes partnerships with various agencies
interested in the environment.

Medical Technology
If
you who enjoy doing precise laboratory work, the Bachelor
of Science in Medical Technology can prepare you for a
career in clinical laboratory science in health care settings
and for a variety of other professional tracks, including
careers in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
Here are just a few of the many benefits of involvement
in this program:

a 3 +1 program, you'll spend their first three years
in residence at Clarion University and your final year
in a program at a hospital-based school of medical technology
- giving you significant practical training!
- Over
the last decade, 90% of Clarion University medical technology
graduates have been placed within three months.
- Currently
there is a very favorable job market for medical technology
graduates. All forecasts point toward a similar trend
in the future.
If
it's a professional career you seek, our Pre-Professional
Program advises and mentors students preparing for professional
school in Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Medicine, and
Optometry. We also prepare students for Physical Therapy,
Occupational Therapy or Physician Assistant programs.
About
25% of our students go on for higher degrees.
