The Ahmad F. M. Gamaluddin Scholarship in Library Science

Description and Purpose of Award

Dr. Ahmad Gamaluddin “was all about education.”  This remarkable testimony, from a family member, expresses simply, but profoundly, the legacy of Dr. Gamaluddin―a noted educator, librarian, scholar, and kind mentor, who served on Clarion University’s library science faculty for thirty years.  This scholarship, funded by devoted former students and others, memorializes this outstanding library leader, whose international perspective and devotion to teaching helped build Clarion’s renowned library science program.  The amount of the award will be paid directly into the successful student’s account to defray the cost of tuition and fees.  One award of $400 will be made for 2006-7.  Application date will be announced.
