Center
for Accounting
Education and Research
The Center for Accounting Education and Research at Clarion University of Pennsylvania began in the early 1980s. Its purpose is to provide a forum for accounting professionals to focus on topics such as accounting problems, techniques, and standards. An important goal in continuing education is to organize and
make available
to members of the community the vast resources of instructional talent
that is abundant within the local and surrounding area.
Seminars The Center traditionally organizes and holds at least four seminars or conferences per year. Many of the meetings are held locally, for the convenience of its attendees, in comfortable hotel conference rooms. The Center educates accountants on a wide variety of topics ranging from accounting and auditing, computer usage in accounting, current accounting pronouncements, and the annual Changes in Federal and State Income Tax Law seminar. The Center has sponsored over 40 seminars since its inception. Scheduled upcoming seminars and a sampling of previous seminars are presented below. Upcoming Seminars
