Choral Composing

My project consisted of arranging four traditional hymns for SSATB choir with and without accompaniment.  I utilized a variety of compositional styles, textures, and techniques.  Additionally, I am teaching them to the University Concert Choir and will direct the choir for the premiere of the pieces at a concert in May.  This set of pieces will also be submitted for publication.  This project has been a culmination of the skills learned in music theory, vocal methods, and conducting.

Seth Hampton is from Indiana, PA.  He has a major in Music Education and a concentration in Voice.  He will receive a Bachelor of Science degree.  During his undergraduate career, he was selected for Intercollegiate Choir Festival at York College.  His career plans are to seek a teaching position with high school choirs.
