Economic Effects of HIV/AIDS in Africa

In this presentation, I will attempt to find a link and/or causality between HIV prevalence rates in a sample of African countries and other indicators of economic and human development.  Variables included in this study are HIV adult prevalence rates, gross domestic product per capita, population growth, GINI Coefficient, and the Human Development Index.  It is important to study the effects of HIV/AIDS on both a country by country and continental scale in order to gain more aid for research and prevention and treatment for the millions who are suffering from HIV/AIDS.
