Applications Procedures
Clarion University
makes admissions decisions as completed applications are received. Review of
completed application begins in September, and students are notified of their
admissions status in approximately two weeks.
- To
be considered for admission to Clarion University of Pennsylvania, please
complete the application form type/print clearly. You can also go online at www.clarion.edu/admiss.
A 30$ application fee is to be included with the application. Select your
academic major from our listing of majors. Also, please sign and date the
application. This information is used to create a record for you. An essay
and recommendation letters are optional for students, but are helpful in
strengthening your application for admission.
- High
school students should ask your guidance counselor to mail the application
and $30 application fee along with an official, sealed copy of your high
school transcript to Clarion University.
The transcript should list all of your high school courses including your
senior year curriculum a cumulative grade point average and a cumulative
class rank. SAT or ACT scores should also be noted the high school
transcript provided by your guidance counselor.
- Clarion
University accepts either
ACT or SAT scores. Use Clarion University
code number (ACT: 3698 SAT: 2649) to direct an official copy of your test
score report to Clarion University.
- Students
who are interested in majoring in Music Education or Music Elective Studies
in Business are required to audition for acceptance into the program and
will need to contact the Music Department to do so. Students interested in
Nursing are required to write an essay and take the National League of
Nursing Exam.
- If
you are a transfer student, please have an official academic transcript from
all previously attended institutions in addition to the application from and
high school transcript.
- If
you admitted to the university, please send a $50 non-refundable deposit to
admissions at your earliest convenience. At this point housing and
orientation information will be forwarded to you.
