Social Equity Mission Statement
It is the Office of Social Equity's Mission to:
- provide the Clarion University community with the leadership and
motivation that are necessary to advance the University's commitment
to equality of opportunity, equity, and to achieve a pluralistic
community;
- ensure that the practices and policies of the University are
equitable and afford all members of the community with an
opportunity for full participation regardless of race, color,
religion, sex, national origin, disability, age, sexual
orientation/affection, veterans status or any other factors that are
not in accordance with local, state, and federal laws;
- ensure that the democratic principles of equity and social
justice are promoted university wide among faculty, staff, and
students;
- foster an inclusive environment that, in part, builds its
intellectual strength and excellence from the human, cultural, and
intellectual diversity of its constituents.
