Parking Lot Changes for Fall 2007

 

There are several construction projects scheduled for the fall of 2007 that will have a significant impact on the availability of employee parking.  The residence hall construction scheduled to commence in August may result in the loss of 46 spaces in the lot adjacent to Givan Hall during the construction period. The construction on the new dining hall is scheduled to commence in November or December which will result in the loss of another 46 spaces in Lot G, the lot adjacent to the admissions office across from Becht Hall.  The demolition of Campbell Hall will result in the loss of about 20 commuter spots as well as a fair amount of metered spaces.

 

As a result of these projects there will be a few lot re-assignments that will become effective in the fall of 2007:

 

1.     Lot 9, along Wood Street across from the Alumni and Haskell Houses will become employee parking.

 

2.     Lot 11, across from Tippin Gym will revert back to an all student lot.

 

3.     Lot 12, adjacent to Marwick-Boyd and the rec center, will be changed from a student lot to an employee lot.

 

4.     Lot 6 will be extended to create additional commuter parking.

The lots will be monitored and any adjustments to lot assignments if warranted will be made accordingly.
