PERSONAL
UPGWA - All permanent full-time
employees who commenced employment prior to July 1, 1991, shall be eligible for five
personal days per calendar year. One personal leave day shall be earned during each
quarter of the calendar year.
Employees who commence employment after July 1, 1991, will be eligible for paid personal
leave days as follows:
- One paid personal leave day will be earned the first calendar year provided the
employee was in active pay status for 20 days in the calendar year.
- One paid personal leave day per one-half calendar year will be earned in the employee's
second calendar year of employment provided the employee was in active status 20 days in
the calendar year.
- One paid personal leave day per calendar quarter will be earned in the employee's third
year of employment.
- One paid personal leave day per one-quarter will be earned in the employee's fourth year
of employment.
- Five paid personal leave days per one calendar quarter in the fifth and subsequent years
of employment.
- No carry-over from previous year
- Payment for unused accrued leave at termination/retirement
