Fagan and Mr. Joe Brinkley for their fine work during the vacancy in this

Campbell Hall Demolition and South
Campus Parking Lot
The demolition of Campbell Hall has
begun in earnest. All hazardous waste was removed from the building before
this phase started, and as noted previously, this took a bit longer than
expected. The decision was made to use traditional crane and wrecking ball
demolition in order to minimize the risk of any noise or debris affecting the
surrounding neighborhood. Design and other plans for the parking lot which

The construction crew has finished
off the steel roof trusses. As they lay the blocks and bricks around the
exterior, they have had to move the scaffolding outside the original
construction fence. For the next few months in order to accommodate
expanded scaffolding, the road between Carrier and the new dining hall will be
restricted to one lane. Entry to lot 5, lot 6 and lot H should be made
from Wood Street.

first and second floor work has begun. The two towers that you see which

Spring is almost here,
and with it . . .
While the ongoing
construction is a nuisance and an inconvenience, with a little work it will make
our campus look much better in a relatively short period of time. When the
snow melts in the spring, it invariably uncovers unsightly litter, but with a
little work we can quickly make that situation better too.
Clarion and Venango
campuses are the home for many of our students and a home away from home for
many who work here. Please don’t throw litter on the ground and don’t let
your friends do it either. If you see litter on the ground, please take a
minute to pick it up and throw it in the receptacles. If you’re already
pitching it in the trash, many thanks from all of us.
Keep
it clean Clarion!
