Federal Government

The largest provider of financial aid, the federal government has a great deal of information on student financial aid on its Web site. Here are two good sites to start with:

State Government

Check out the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency for more information on financial aid and specific state programs.

Sources for Aid and Scholarships

  • Finaid - This award-winning site, called FinAid, provides excellent links to Internet sources of information about student financial aid. Don't miss this site!
  • FastWEB - A database of scholarships, grants, fellowships, and loans in private sector funding.
  • Education Planner - This comprehensive site is sponsored by AES/PHEAA. Specifically check out the "paying" link. Planner has one of the most comprehensive sites available on-line.
  • Collegedata.com - Select the "Pay Your Way - Financing Your College Education" link. It includes a scholarship finder, calculator for college costs, and EFC estimator.
  • Scholarships.com - This site requires registration, but if you chose not to - click on the links to scholarships at the bottom of the page.
