B.S. Integrative Studies: Global Understanding

The Bachelor of Science in integrative studies, global understanding concentration, provides language proficiency and in-depth knowledge of different regions or disciplines. The concentration also expands the horizon of students' educational experience and encourages a new or innovative perspective for students' future professional career. Equipped with language and with a humanistic vision of the world, students are more prepared to immerse with other people and into other societies. The goal is for you to become a global citizen. This program is offered at the Clarion campus and online.

Minor in Film Studies

The minor in film studies offers students an opportunity to study film from various points of view ranging from the aesthetic approach to an investigation of film's philosophical or sociological content. It also gives students the opportunity to study film critically and to have a hands-on experience in film making. This minor is offered only at the Clarion campus.

Minor in Spanish

Students who want to enhance their marketability upon graduation should learn a foreign language and become familiar with other world cultures. Students in all majors are able to become a Spanish minor. The Spanish minor consists of 21 credits. This minor is offered only at the Clarion campus.

Certificates And Certifications

Spanish for the Professions Certificate

This certificate is geared toward students who anticipate working with the Hispanic population in a variety of professional fields including health and human services, business and others. Students will be required to complete five courses or a total of 15 credits, all of which can be made available online. Completers will have a basic knowledge of Spanish vocabulary and grammar and Hispanic culture in the U.S. This program is available online and at the Clarion campus.
