NACE Principles for Professional Practice: The Center for Career and Professional Development is a member of the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE). In accordance with our commitment to maintaining the standards of this professional organization, the career center expects students and employers to adhere to principles of college recruiting in the NACE Principles for Professional Practices.

Other Recruiting information

◾ Recruitment Period for Campus Interviews, Information Sessions/Tables
    Fall semester - the first week of September through the first week of December.
    Spring semester - mid-January through the last week of April.
    Year round - job posting and resume collection service through Handshake.
    Three weeks advance notice is requested to coordinate logistics and maximize promotion of your visit.
    Due to space limitations, visits are limited to once per month or three times per semester.

◾ Present to Student Organizations/Groups
     Student professional organizations and campus groups often welcome recruiters as guest speakers,
     panelists, or as a host for a site visit to your business.  Contact them directly through CUConnect.

◾ Present to Classes
     Faculty often welcome recruiters who are willing to serve as a guest speaker in class or present on a topic
     relating to the curriculum. We can assist you with connecting with faculty teaching these classes.

◾ Event Promotion and Advertising
     We promote recruiting events to students and alumni through various media such as listservs,
     E-mail messages to faculty, posters, flyers, Video Message boards, social media, and an events calendar.
     To advertise your recruiting visit in The Clarion Call (the campus newspaper published on Thursdays),
     contact the advertising sales manager at 814-393-2380 or e-mail at chief@clarioncallnews.com.
