CLUSTERING CLUSTERING , also called MAPPING, is a strategy for visually organizing your ideas. Start with your subject/topic circled at the top of the page, and connect it with arrows to circles for each subdivision of the subject/topic. (Create as many as you need. There is not set number.) Label each new circle as a different subdivision of your subject/topic. Then, from the subdivision circles , draw a new set of arrows to connect to detail circles . Fill each detail circle with one example, explanation, or source information that develops the idea of the corresponding subdivision.
