Collegiate Law Expert to Appear at Clarion University-Venango Campus
OIL CITY, PA- Clarion University-Venango Campus will host a lecture by college-life legal expert C.L. Lindsay on Campus Computing: From Free Speech to Facebook in the Robert W. Rhoades Center Auditorium at Clarion University-Venango Campus on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. The seminar is free and open to the public.
The seminar will cover on-line harassment, electronic stalking, copyright law and infringement, software and media piracy, your rights and liabilities, and the law surrounding what is posted on the Internet.
According to Mr. Lindsay's website, "The program teaches students everything they need to know about their on-line lives ... and how to protect themselves legally and personally when they log on."
Over the last nine years attorney Lindsay, author and founder of CO-STAR, the Coalition for Student and Academic Rights, has lectured at many college campuses across the United States on student life and the law. Recognized as the leading expert on student rights, he has appeared on national television, radio, and has been featured in many popular publications such as US News and World Report.
