Nationally Acclaimed Vocal Band to Perform
at Clarion University–Venango Campus
OIL CITY, PA - Blue
Jupiter, an, exciting, high-energy, four-man A Cappella group, will be
performing at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 18 in the Robert W. Rhoades Center
auditorium at Clarion University–Venango Campus. Formed in late 2001, this vocal
band has already been compared to Rockapella, M-Pact, and The Blenders. In the
years that Blue Jupiter has been together, they've earned a reputation for
delivering power-packed shows, stunning arrangements, and creative, inspiring
original music and been hailed as "the next shining star of vocal music."
Blue Jupiter, based
in Nashville, Tennessee, has spent the last two years touring 34 states,
recording, and arranging, and they have been growing in popularity. The band
consists of: Christopher Eloranta, baritone/tenor; Marty Gasper,
baritone/tenor/vocal percussion; Chris Chatham, high tenor; and Jeremy Lile,
bass.
“We’re thrilled to
be able to have such a talented group of musicians perform at Venango Campus,”
said Christopher M. Reber, executive dean of Clarion University–Venango Campus.
“We hope that community members will join with students, faculty and staff to
enjoy a wonderful evening of live entertainment.”
With Blue Jupiter’s
raw talent and creativity, there is little this group cannot do. As a vocal
band, Blue Jupiter takes every opportunity to explore and celebrate the power
and versatility of the human voice, whether A Cappella or lightly accompanied.
Charismatic and contagious onstage, Blue Jupiter’s enthusiasm carries over to
the audience time after time.
The performance is
free and open to the public but, because space is limited, attendees need to
obtain a ticket prior to the performance. Tickets can be obtained by calling
Angel Muschweck at 676-6591, extension 1279.
