Clarion University–Venango Campus Hires New Marketing Director
OIL CITY, PA – Clarion University of Pennsylvania – Venango Campus has hired
Marisa Bilicic to fill the newly created position of director of marketing.
Bilicic will be responsible for increasing awareness of the range of program
offerings at the campus through an integrated marketing program that will
include advertising, media relations, online marketing, community relations, and
special events.
“Bilicic’s stellar experience in strategic planning and the management of
multi-faceted marketing communications programs is a major asset for the Venango
Campus and the region,” said Dr. Christopher M. Reber, executive dean of the
campus. “We’ve just launched a new series of certificate programs and we’re
working on developing several additional new programs to meet community needs.
We’re delighted to have a seasoned professional on board to help us market these
and other offerings.”
Before joining Clarion University – Venango Campus, Bilicic operated her own
communications consulting practice that specialized in public education and
consumer marketing campaigns. Previously she was an account supervisor for
Fleishman-Hillard International Communications, Inc., one of the nation’s
largest and most respected public relations firms. Bilicic began her career in
Ford Motor Company’s customer service division, worked in the development and
university relations division of American University in Washington, D.C., and
served as communications director for BAA USA, Inc. prior to launching her own
consulting practice.
“I’m thrilled to have the chance to work at an institution that is a vital part
of this community,” said Bilicic. “Obtaining an academic degree or certificate
greatly improves a person’s income earning potential, which is so critical for
local residents. In addition, the campus provides excellent enrichment courses
for adults, young people, and seniors. I’m actively involved in community
outreach efforts and believe there are great opportunities to develop programs
and partnerships that benefit residents, local organizations and the campus.”
Bilicic recently returned to the area after 10 years in Washington, D.C. She
resides in Franklin, is vice president of the Franklin Rotary Club, and serves
on the board of the Franklin Chamber of Commerce. Bilicic is a graduate of
Venango Catholic High School. She has a bachelor’s degree in business
administration from The Ohio State University and a master’s degree in
communications from American University.
Clarion University–Venango Campus provides
