What is ITV?

ITV stands for Interactive Television. In classes offered via ITV, also called video conferencing, the instructor is  in a classroom with students at an origination, or sending site, transmitting to and interacting with students in the classroom at the remote or receiving site.

In an ITV class the instructor is able interact fully with the students at the remote site.  The students can participate in discussions, do group work and ask questions of the instructor from the remote site. The instructor visits the remote site, in most cases, at least twice a semester and teaches the class in the opposite direction. Some classes are multi-point, or bridged, to two or more sites at one time.
