Clarion University's 150 Anniversary
Clarion University has been shaping minds for 150 years. From our early days as a seminary to today's institution offering more than 100 programs, one thing is certain – Clarion University isn't going anywhere.
In the past 150 years, the world has changed and so has our school. We've adapted to new ideas and technologies, while staying true to our roots.
We are Courageous. Confident. Clarion. And we'd like to celebrate our remarkable past while looking to our bright future.
To commemorate the sesquicentennial, we're beginning a year-long celebration starting fall 2017. This is your starting point for everything Clarion 150.
The launch for Clarion's Sesquicentennial will be held at 9 a.m. Monday, Sept. 11, in the Gemmell Multi-Purpose Room. President Karen Whitney, Ph.D., will provide opening remarks, as will Clarion University Council of Trustees Chair J.D. Dunbar. Following the opening remarks, Whitney will deliver her State of the University address. The All-Employee recognition ceremony will be held after Whitney's address followed by an All-Employee 150th photo.
