The Student Advisory Council (SAC) is organized by the Office of the Dean for the College of Arts and Sciences. Each student on the Council is appointed to the position by the Chair of his/her major department. The Council consists of one student selected from each major discipline in the College of Arts and Sciences and a representative from the freshman class.
The charge of this group is to assist the College of Arts and Sciences with meeting student needs on campus and in the classroom. In this leadership role, the students will target academic and non-academic issues that impact student retention in the Arts and Sciences.
The Council kicked off their semester with a luncheon hosted by the Dean, Dr. Rachelle C. Prioleau, on Friday, September 12, 2008. Check out some of the photos from the luncheon on the SAC Events page.
