The PIF permanent address you provide should be your USPS mailing address. If you have Post Office Box delivery and you provide a street address you will not receive important information from the university through the USPS mail.
Please verify your permanent address at the USPS website. If you cannot verify your correct mailing address through this website, contact your home post office for the proper format of the mailing address. Once you have determined the proper format, update your address on your PIF in the iClarion portal. Instructions on how to update your PIF are located at: http://www.clarion.edu/56473/ .
Here are some things to look for when updating your PIF address:
- Provide the P. O. Box mailing address on the PIF if you have one
- Format the address correctly and provide complete information
- Make sure syntax and spelling are correct
- You moved recently and did a National Change of Address form with the USPS, you need to update the address on the PIF as soon as possible or USPS will not deliver the mail to the old address
- Always use the apartment or suite number and correct directional markers such as N, W, S, E, SW , AVE, ST, and BLVD in the address
- Addresses for a new housing development or an abandoned location are not recognized by USPS, you should contact the post office of the town for verification
- Verify the zip code is correct
- Verify the city is correct
PHEAA Grant recipients: You MUST list a current local address if you are renting off campus or financial aid will assume that you are a commuting student and your grant will be reduced! Address changes can affect your Financial Aid, please contact the Office of Financial Aid if you have any questions.
