Clarion Campus – Dining Hall - Dining Hall WebCam

This project is now complete with staff serving 1,300 people at lunch on the first day of classes.  The roadway between Carrier and the new dining facility is now open to two-way traffic.  As with any roadway on campus, anyone parking their vehicle in the roadway and leaving it to do business in Carrier or the dining hall may be subject to a fine and having their vehicle towed.

Parking Note:  Now that construction on the new dining facility is complete, with the exception of specially designated parking spaces, parking will return to its original configuration, Lot H immediately east of the dining facility provided for employee parking and Lot 6 further east of the dining facility provided for student parking.

Venango Campus – Venango Pond

Progress has slowed due to weather conditions, but the Gazebo now has the addition of a roof and a light. The railing will be installed at the walkway when warmer weather allows concrete to be poured and cured for the rails.

Clarion Campus – Science-Technology Building - Science-Technology Center WebCam

The office side ceiling grid installation has progressed on all three  floors.  This progress has allowed the electrical contractor to begin installing the drop-in ceiling light fixtures. In the atrium area the general contractor has been installing interior curtain wall studs/dry wall and the permanent copper surfaced wall. This copper wall is three stories high and surfaces the old exterior of the Planetarium. 

The third floor lab furnishings, supplied with the construction project, began arriving this past week.  Installation of the base cabinets in the lab side third floor is under way.  The HVAC and plumbing effort continued and included routing/connecting the chilled water lines in the office side roof penthouse #2 and #3. As a side note, the interior of the building is now being heated by the permanent building heating system and remains warm during the cold winter weather.
