Pre-Professional Workshop
The Pre-Professional Committee for the Healing Arts will be conducting advising workshops for ALL students who are considering applying to a graduate or professional school to pursue a career in the health care field. This semester, we are excited to provide a new format for the workshop: the half-day (3 hour) event will include a student panel discussion on "What I wish I had known earlier or done differently...", breakout sessions by discipline (medicine, veterinary medicine, dentistry, etc.), and breakout sessions by class (freshmen, sophomores, juniors/seniors/grads). Free food and door prizes for all who attend!
You will have two opportunities to attend this workshop:
Friday March 13, 2009 2-5pm OR
Saturday March 21, 2009 9am-noon
Both in Room 161 Peirce
This workshop will be a very important part of your career development and preparation for these very competitive programs. There are many important changes and updates to application procedures and policies which will be discussed. We can not emphasize enough the importance of attending this workshop! For those students who will require a Committee letter of recommendation for their applications (to medical, dental, optometry, podiatry, veterinary schools), your attendance is absolutely mandatory. If you do not attend, the Pre-Professional Committee can not guarantee that we will be able to provide the necessary letter for you.
